Get back what is owed

Retention in construction is a common practice and was originally intended to motivate contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality is maintained right until the end of the project.

However, the result is often that contractors and subcontractors are being left owed their retention money long after the project has finished. This practice is rampant in the construction industry and if you find yourself in this position then you must act quickly and strongly to secure your monies in a timely manner..

As the retention money owed is usually around 3-5% of the final contract sum, it is certainly not insignificant and can make the difference between you making a profit or not.
